East Ham Grammar School 2005 reunion photographs


(Part of the 2005 Centenary Celebrations)


Around 100 people who were educated at East Ham Grammar School celebrated 100 years since the founding
of the school in 1905. These are some photographs from the main events that took place on Saturday 28th May 2005.
The main organised events were; a tour of the buildings at Langdon School, a tour of West Ham United's stadium,
a tour of the Newham Town Hall buildings and a buffet reception at the East London Rugby Club.
The main organisers included Ian Buckmaster and Jim Briggs.

Terry Sinclair (Langdon 1975-80) also attended the EHGS reunion and is considering the possibility of organising
another 2005 Centenary reunion later in the year for all those that either attended Langdon School or any of the
schools that were merged to create Langdon School (in 1972). Watch this space for details.


Proposed Centenary reunion to be entitled 'The East Ham Decades Reunion'

We are looking for up to 50 representatives from this and each of the last seven decades for a special reunion event:
'The East Ham Decades Reunion'. If you attended any of the following schools listed;
East Ham Grammar School for boys, East Ham Grammar School for girls,
Thomas Lethaby for boys, Burgess Manor for girls or the post 1972 merged Langdon School and would be interested
in representing your intake year decade; either the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s or the 2000s
please email decades.reunion@langdonschool.com and we will send you full details.

If your intake year was 1975 then you could represent the 1970s decade, if your intake year was 1941 then you
could represent the 1940s decade. We expect more interest from recent decades than from earlier decades, if you are
interested in this event please let us know as early as possible to avoid possible disappointment.
